Legal
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the KoshurWaan website and mobile app, and any order you place through either. By buying from us you accept them.

Who this agreement is between
This is an agreement between you and Legal entity name — to be completed— referred to below as “we”, “us” and “KoshurWaan” — trading at koshurwaan.com and through the KoshurWaan mobile app.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act 1872 to buy from us.
Your account
- The details you give us must be accurate, and you must keep your delivery address and phone number current — a parcel sent to a stale address is not something we can recall.
- An account is personal to you. You are responsible for anything done through it, so keep your password to yourself.
- Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently, abusively, or to place orders with no intention of paying for them.
Orders, and when a sale is made
Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed sale. The sale is made only when your payment is confirmed, at which point the order appears as placed in your account. Until that moment there is no contract, and we may decline the order.
We may decline or cancel an order, before or after payment, where:
- the item has sold out or is no longer available;
- the price or description was published in error;
- we cannot deliver to the address given;
- we reasonably suspect fraud or a payment made without the cardholder's authority.
If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full to the original payment method. We do not substitute a different item or issue store credit instead without asking you first.
An order you have created but not paid for is held for 30 minutes and then cancelled automatically, releasing the stock for other buyers. You can also cancel it yourself in the meantime from your order page.
Handmade goods vary
Everything we sell is made by hand. Weave, knot density, dye lots, needlework and painted detail differ from piece to piece, and a photograph cannot reproduce a colour exactly across every screen. Reasonable variation from the images and measurements shown is a property of the craft, not a defect, and is not on its own a ground for return.
A genuine fault — a tear, a flaw in the weave, damage in transit, or an item that is simply not what was described — is a different matter entirely, and is covered by our returns policy.
Prices and payment
- All prices are in Indian rupees.
- Prices shown include GST where it applies.
- Delivery is ₹79 on orders below ₹2,000, and free at or above it. The charge is shown before you pay, never added afterwards.
- Payment is prepaid only, through Razorpay. We do not offer cash on delivery.
- We never see or store your card, UPI or netbanking credentials.
If an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we will contact you before dispatch and you may confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We will not simply charge you the difference.
Delivery
Delivery times, charges and the areas we serve are set out in the Shipping & Delivery policy, which forms part of these terms. Delivery estimates are estimates: courier delays, weather and conditions in the Valley are outside our control.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Where an order contains items from more than one maker it may arrive as more than one parcel, at different times, at no extra charge.
Cancellation, returns and refunds
Your rights to cancel, return an item and be refunded are set out in the Returns, Cancellation & Refunds policy, which also forms part of these terms. Nothing there or here limits the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 2019.
Reviews and anything you post
When you write a review it is published with the first name on your account. By posting it you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the store and in the app.
Reviews must be your own honest experience of an item you bought. We remove content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, infringes someone else’s rights, or is posted to manipulate ratings. We do not edit reviews to make them more favourable, and we do not delete a review for being critical.
Our content
The KoshurWaan name, the site design, our photography and our product writing belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, scrape or republish them commercially, or use our name or marks in a way that suggests we endorse you. Reading the site, sharing a link and printing your own order confirmation are all perfectly fine.
Using the site fairly
- Do not attempt to break, overload, probe or bypass the security of the site or the API.
- Do not scrape the catalog or place automated orders.
- Do not use another person's payment method without their authority.
- Do not resell items bought from us as new or authorised stock without our written agreement.
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for supplying goods that match their description and are of satisfactory quality, and for delivering them with reasonable care. Where we are at fault, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. None of this limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, so a later change cannot alter a purchase you have already made.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Jurisdiction city — to be completed have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any consumer forum you are entitled to approach under the Consumer Protection Act 2019.
Before going that far, please write to us — most problems are a courier problem, and most courier problems we can fix. Our Contact page lists our Grievance Officer and the timeframes we are held to.
